Product Description

Blue pictures boxes in Montessori language development includes a box containing 6 matching Blue word and picture cards and a mat. This exercises is meant for the child to learn to blend in the activity of matching the pictures with words, and then to match to the corresponding objects.

Purpose

To enhance the child’s vocabulary.
To help the child to develop effortless reading capability.
To refine the child's reasoning and observational skills.

Exercise

Demonstrate the exercise by first picking up the box and placing it on the mat.
Invite the children to gather around to watch the way you demonstrate.
Inform the child that the activity is called blue picture box.
Using your dominant fingers, open the box and place the lid on the side.
Remove the pictures from the box, one by one using your thumb and index finger and places them horizontally on the table.
Remove the word cards and place them in front of you.
As you can see and identify the pictures, pick a card and show it to the child.
Ask the child to sound out the word.
When the child sounds out the correct word, continue with the next picture card.
As the child sounds out the correct words, pick the cards faster as that guides the child's reading.
Now, ask the child to pick the right word card and place under the picture card appropriately.
As the child starts to correctly place the cards, encourage the child to practice it more.
