Product Description

The bow frame exercise consists of one bow frame where the clothes and ribbons of two different colors for ease of activity.

Purpose
  • To help the child to think logically while doing his/ her activity with contrasting colors
  • To help the child to develop hand dexterity.
  • To help the child with mathematical skills.
Exercise
  • Demonstrate the exercise by first placing the bow frame on the mat and opening it.
  • Start by pulling the ribbons gently and separating them in different directions and place them neatly.
  • Similarly pull and untie the rest of the ribbons that are in the order.
  • In between ask a child to involve himself/ herself in your supervision to do this activity.
  • Allow a child to interact with you simultaneously while you're informing of each step.
  • Slowly and gently pull away all the ribbons and keep the frame untied.
  • Now, the next task is to tying all the bows that are separated and placed aside.
  • Using your dominant fingers, pinch the end of the ribbon and place and rotate the ribbon over the material to the right so that it lays flat over the red ribbon.
  • Next, pinch the end of the other side ribbon and rotate over to the left and place it under the first ribbon which is parallel to the frame's bottom.
  • Using your dominant fingers, tie a bow, similar to tying a shoelace.
  • Continue the activity for the rest of the ribbons.
  • Include the child in helping him/ her understand the way a bow is tied.
  • Allow the child to perform this activity under your supervision and then individually.
  • Monitor each movement and assist only when necessary.
