Product Description

Hook and Eye frame in dressing frame is an exercise in Montessori practical life where a child learns to use hook and unhook capabilities.

Purpose

Exercise

Start the exercise by first gently placing the frame on the mat
Open the flap of the frame to show the child what is hook and what is eye
Now, proceed to unhook by pinching the top part of the flap and pull the flap out gently so as to show the hook has been taken out of the eye
Repeat the procedure with the rest of the hooks
Next step is of hooking back. Start by pinching the top part of the flap and position your hand to fit the hook back into the eye.
Gently scoop the hook down so that it slides easily into the eye.
Repeat the same with the rest of the hooks.
Invite and encourage the child to do this exercise once with you.
Allow the child to do this exercise at his/ her table individually.
Monitor the activity of the child and assist only when it is necessary.
