Product Description

Velcro frame exercise in Montessori practical life consists of a wooden frame with cloth flaps with velcro attached at the end of the flaps. The cloth used in velcro frame is cotton mounted on the wooden frame. It is completely child proof and easy to use, along with durable and designed for children's rough use.

Purpose

To help eye-hand co-ordination
To enhance concentration and motor skills.
To develop independence, control, and strengthening of fingers

Exercise

Demonstrate the exercise by starting with placing the velcro frame on the mat
Using your thumb and index finger, gently pull the flap of one side from the end and place it on the side.
Similarly, pull the opposite side flap and place it on the other side.
Gently pick the strap and place it on one side, and pick the opposite side's flap and place it on the opposite side.
Continuing with closing of the flaps. First pick up a side's flap and close it.
Now, pick up the opposite side flap and place right beside it indicating closed.
Pick the top velcro strap and insert in the eye of the opposite side's flap.
Gently pull and tighten the flap and press the end indicating the flaps are connected and attached.
Repeat the activity with the other flaps and straps.
Allow the child to do the activity in front of you once so you can monitor their movements.
Encourage the child to do the activity individually. Assist only when it is necessary.
