Product Description

The color box- primary contains the tablets of three primary colors, Red, Yellow and Blue. They are the most sharply contrasted colors and in this box there are two tablets of each color.

Purpose
  • To develop a child's visual perception and discrimination of color.
  • To develop a child's co-ordination of movement.
  • To give the child experience in matching same colors.
Exercise
  • Begin by first taking the red, yellow, and blue tablets, along with their matching pairs out of the box with both hands
  • Place each tablet randomly on the mat
  • Pick up one of the red tablets using your right thumb and index finger and place it near the top of the table and place it aside from the other tablets.
  • From the tablets placed on the mat, pick up the matching red tablet and pair it.
  • Keep it aside from the rest of the tablets.
  • Now, pick up the yellow tablet and place it under the first red tablet.
  • Encourage the child to match the yellow in the same way as the red was matched.
  • Now, following, pick one of the blue tablets and match it with the remaining tablet in the end.
  • Invite and encourage the child to perform this activity in front of you once, so that the mistakes and errors can be corrected.
  • Allow the child to do this activity individually and monitor the activity of the child without interfering unless there is a necessity of your assistance.

There are simple pairing activities under practical life exercises which can be practised such as sorting buttons, pairing nuts to the bolts, lids to the bottles, keys to the locks etc. It can be related to the pairing done under dressing frames such as button to the loop, hook to the eye etc. This material can be related to touch tablets, fabric box, thermic tablets, thermic bottles steriognostic bag 2, smelling bottles, tasting solutions, sound cylinders. It can also be related to activities under language, maths and culture.
