Product Description

The pink tower consists of ten cubes that need to be arranged in vertical order, which starts at the biggest cube to be placed at the lowest/ bottom level and progressed to smaller ones arranged on top accordingly. The smallest cube is of 1 cubic centimeter in size and the largest is 1000 cubic centimeters with each side being 10 centimeter in length.

  • Achieves visual discrimination of different sizes and dimensions

  • Voluntary and independent movement by exercising and practicing of placing the cubes in the particular order Exercise
Exercise
  • Demonstrate the activity prior to handing children the toys and exercises for their better learning, by showing the child how to carry the cube and how to grip from above the top edges using your thumb and index finger.
  • Place cubes randomly on the mat and start placing them in an ascending order accordingly
  • Encourage the child to be involved in the activity while allowing him/ her to place once for first hand experience
  • Carry on placing the cubes till all the cubes are arranged from biggest to smallest in a vertical order
  • Dismantle the tower in the same way you built and arranged it, starting from the last cube placed.
  • Encourage the child to perform this activity individually at his/ her table or mat.
  • Place the cubes randomly to make the child to choose and arrange individually, to improve the control of error visually and logically. Encourage the child to start with the largest cube and puts the second-largest cube on top of it and accordingly finish the task successfully.
  • This exercise would be continued until all ten cubes are stacked on top of each other.

This can be related to the natural environment where the child arranges boxes, books, bedding, mattress and arrangement of his own clothes and all possible variations in the environment.
